   Living Wage Advocates Rally
   The Commercial Appeal - March 13, 2008
   Local and national champions of living wage campaigns will join forces here today
   with a 7 p.m. rally to kick off a 24-hour fast in support of wage increases affecting
   contract workers in Memphis and minimum wage workers nationally.

  Minimum Wage Up a Little but Still Not a Living

   The minimum wage has finally been raised from $5.15 an hour an hour to $5.85.
   Although the change was made, the minimum wage is still not substantial enough
   to lift people out of poverty.

  for the cause. The fast will begin on March 30th at 7:00pm and will end on
